I also want that gold polish on the far right! I’ve been doing my research on gold nail polish and I checked out the ones from Zoya and China Glaze but they weren’t to my liking. So far, I’ve only seen swatches of the one in the Justin Bieber collection and I like it a lot!

I would love to get my hands on some long-lasting bluch from Tarte. They have a lovely range as well. I’m such a sucker for blush. That’s also why I can’t seem to control myself when it comes to applying blush. Blush overload like it’s the end of the world for me.

Whenever I get to know about what my friends and their partners do .. like go on a holiday together, or they had fun on a date, celebrating anniversaries, or even just posting pictures of themselves on Facebook, all smiles and being very loving, I’m sincerely happy for them, I swear.

I would never in a million years buruk sangka couples in relationships, or worst still, advice them on how to lead their lives together .

I can’t stop people from talking but what I cannot stand is when people continuously hound me on when am I getting married, why am I taking so long to tie the knot or something along that line. Some of them are merely curious and genuinely want to find out when I’m settling down (BUT FOR THE RECORD, MY PRIORITY RIGHT NOW IS NOT MARRIAGE. MY PRIORITY IS TO GRADUATE, GET MY DEGREE, HELP OUT WITH MY FAMILY”S EXPENSES, GET MY DRIVER’S LICENCE, GET LASIK DONE, GO TO A DERMATOLOGIST TO GET MY FACE FIXED FOR GOOD, REPLACE MY 4-YEAR-OLD LAPTOP, AND MAYBE APPLY FOR A FLAT IF I’M NOT LAZY) but there are also others who continuously lecture or even better (HA HA), show me music videos(?!?!) on the consequences of being an unmarried couple (true story). I don’t even.

Here are some of the issues that they seem to have with unmarried couples -

1. That being a couple and going on one-on-one dates are prohibited in the first place. Obviously, going on vacations is, in their eyes, a horrible, horrible sin.

2. That it is good to be married asap.

I don’t want to be harsh and I don’t wish to offend people who may hold strong views about this whole relationship thing but bottomline is, don’t you think how I choose to lead my life is none of your damn business?

I’m going to be 24 this year. Some girls want to be settled down at this age, lead a married life and all that. For the rest, we want to achieve other things before getting married. I don’t find anything wrong with that. If I’m not ready for it, I’m not ready for it. People might say, if you’ve been together for 8 years, what’s there not be ready about? Well, you can’t put it that way. Being married and being in a relationship are two different things. Responsibilities change when you’re married blahblahblah. To be married at 24, while you’re still studying, is not something I want to be doing. I know of people who are though, and kudos to them for being able to juggle school and family. But I just don’t want to be married AND still be in school. I have no idea how people do it, how do they get the money to hold a wedding, to go through the ceremony, to live together, pay all sorts of bills and all that? And FYI, yes I do have preferences before I go through with this whole thing. My wedding WILL cost money and I want to secure a flat first before tying the knot. Both of us share our room with another sibling and we both have big families so there’s no way we will be able to live together after we’re married if we don’t get our own house. I’m also insistent on having my own house. Between that and being married, I’ll choose the former.

Trust me, I would love to be his wife, but just not right now okay? Two to three years down the road, yes definitely. But not right now. And I also hope that people would stop thinking the worst of us just because we’re not mukrim. Is that even the correct word to use? Fail.

It doesn’t only apply to this particular issue that is popping up now that everyone around me is planning to get married or are already married or engaged. Bottomline is, It’s between me and God. You lecturing me even if it is your damn responsibility, will only make me more annoyed. I don’t like to be told what to do even it’s just some “friendly advice”. I don’t take too well to people telling me what to do with my life. In fact, if you try, I’ll make sure I’ll do the complete opposite just to rile you up. Whoah, you have so much knowledge about religion, woohooo, good for you. Go ahead and apply to be religious leader and conduct talks. If I tell you I’m not keen on listening to what you have to say, you should stay away if you still want me as a friend. That’s why at this age, I’m done having to put up with such friends. I’m not sorry we have different mindsets and I really don’t mind losing the friendship if you can’t respect my lifestyle. I don’t need you to lead a similar lifestyle, all I ask for is for you to accept as who I am and respect me as an individual, that’s all.

Anyway, being religious does not mean you’re nice. There are so many people out there whom I know are nice yet not religious but does that make them bad people? NO. Take my boyfriend for instance. He has a nice character. He’s probably as nice as, or nicer than most other people out there. He has a soft spot for the blind. He is a very filial son. He has a very strong sense of justice. Heck, if I were to do something wrong, I would get a lashing from him. He’s also honest and extremely patient. He has so many good qualities, it doesn’t mean that he’s a bad person if he’s not religious, am I right?

Then, there are the rules. I’m not going to bother arguing, I have my own personal views on them and I think I’m going to keep them private for now. But apparently, there are so many of those more “knowledgeable” ones who enjoy airing their thoughts. W H Y. This applies across all religions okay. Your religious beliefs are such a private thing. Why would you want to tell the whole world about it? It sounds to me like arrogance and MACAM PAHAM. Hooray, you’re damn religious and you’re welcome for making me block you off my news feed. No offense, I just prefer to read other more mundane stuff like who went where, and who did what on FB. If I want to read about more serious stuff like religion, I’ll do my own research, attend classes or consult you personally, tyvm.

Don’t you think that whole getting married first and then getting to know your spouse after that is a little dumb and naive? Just sayinnnn.

I love the cocoa scent in the Vaseline body lotion!!!! It is a little on the heavy side, heavier than my usual NIVEA body cream. I remember switching to Vaseline a few months back and then going back to NIVEA after a short while. But my skin has been dry ever since I got back from Perth so this is definitely more suitable for me right now.

I need a new, cheaper and effective moisturiser since I’m on a budget right now. Have yet to get a new moisturiser. I’ve not been moisturising my face, yucks. The search for a whitening, subtly scented deodorant continues and my mum was of great help! Thankful! See below.

Not only did she get me a new deodorant to try, she also got me the OXY 5 cream which is 5% benzyl peroxide. I think she is worried my entire face will rot away. I have no complaints about the deodorant just yet but we’ll see when my flu gets better and my nose clears up :p

The whole gig experience was so surreal, I’ve been listening to the band’s album ever since it came out and to be able to hear them live was definitely an experience of a lifetime.

Cute little notebook! If I’m not going to use it, my future child can use it ;)

Cats who are familiar and friendly with each other often have a greeting ritual. They use a similar ritual to greet their humans or other household animals. They rub their head, flank and tail against the other cat or person to exchange odours. They hold the tail straight up so that the other cat can sniff the anal glands. When stroked, cats raise their rumps even higher (almost standing on tiptoe) to invite you to sniff their anal glands!

Y U SO CUTE!

Threw out these bags above because they were peeling horribly. It might not seem like it but you have to see it irl to believe me. I love that brown duffel bag of mine to death and I’ve had both for more than 3 years, used them for school and they’ve served me well. It was a tough decision to make but I didn’t want people to laugh at me for walking around with pieces of bag material on my clothes.

I got inspired to use matchsticks and make a heart shape. Then, I cut out the love quote from some random 2010 calendar I’ve been keeping in my crafts box and stuck it together with the matchstick heart. They’re on a cover of a plain black notebook. I love those plain black notebooks, LOVE. I first discovered it when I was going through my sister’s art stuff. She used to be from LaSelle and she would have those huge drawing pads and they all had plain black covers. I asked her whether they have a smaller size and she told me to look at Art Friend. I bought some from Art Friend but they were a bit pricey for plain notebooks and then, I found out POPULAR had them too and it was much cheaper!!! I don’t need notebooks actually, I just like buying plain black ones so that I can decorate the covers. That’s a hobby not many would know, I’ve been doing it for years.

Here’s another one. I cut the elephants out of a Tangs paper bag!

Meanwhile, I ran out of (like emptied out the contents totally) some beauty products, I might have featured the Revlon Grow Luscious mascara in one of my #emptied series but this time round, I really ran out of product to scrape out of the tube -

Finished a base coat from Sally Hansen. I also finished one mini bottle and one big bottle of Seche Vite but threw them out this morning without taking any pictures. Meh.

Meanwhile, because I haven’t gone shopping for the longest time due to a tight budget these past few weeks, I used some of my pocket money (had a pizza feast mostly paid for by my prof with the classmates today so I didn’t touch my pocket money for today) to get these -

I got three The Face Shop masks (school bazaar) and China Glaze’s Awaken (Smoochiezzz CNY booth in JP) for a total of $11! Happy!  I’ve already used one of the masks just now and I also painted my toenails with this new colour, and I also have it on both my ring fingernails. The other 8 fingers are painted with China Glaze’s Sea Spray. Will take a picture of the manicure tomorrow and post it up! :)
